I understand that there is a new committee member - Isobel D'Arcy. Will someone from the committee please explain who this person is and how she has become a committee member. Also why have we, the owners, not been told about this appointment.

Hi all
We have co-opted four Committee members this year, these being Ray Thomson, Peter Ashwood, David Taylor, and lastly isobel D'Arcy who was appointed last Sunday. The first three were all introduced in the monthly newsletter and Elizabeth will be introduced in the next one in a couple of weeks time.
We seek new Committee Members at every AGM but always end up short. We don't find this acceptable and so we have co-opted people according to our Articles to fill these positions. All of the co-opted members will be Members until the next AGM in December when their terms of office automatically end and of course they will be eligible for election.
Regards, John

Hi John
Seems pretty sensible to me to co-op Committee Members if there are not enough Owners throwing their hat into the ring prior to the AGM. Work
Some owners are quite happy to turn up for their week(s) Holiday, but hey don't expect them to volunteer to do any Committee Work, heavens no! Well I've said this so many times before, if honest, trustworthy owners with the Club's best interest at heart DON'T volunteer a stint on the Committee, then we will end up in the precarious position we were in prior to John Hurst and present Committee coming into office. You cannot expect the existing Committee to continue their volunteer posts indefinately. So have a really good think about a Committee post stint prior to the AGM! Or beware as Numpty Committee Volunteers could end up back in the Chair and that my friends would be the final nail in LRHC''s coffin!
