As a lodge owner it makes such a difference to now have access to all the facilities the hotel has to offer and what a difference they make.
After a week in July and experiencing not just the great weather, having a restaurant on your doorstep with fantastic staff, access to a spa and pool, activities on the loch, gym, climbing wall etc makes coming to our club, once again, a destination of desire.
I have also just come back from a few days at the hotel which was busy, and on speaking to renters, owners and hotel customers nothing appears to have changed. There were more owners using the facilities than I was led to believe along with hotel residents who revelled in the area and scenery.
All in all a perfect setting for a sales pitch?
The recent trip adviser comments are testament to this praising of not just the lodges, but also the hotel and their staff, although the replies are not so sharing in this praise which is a disappointment when as as a club we should be, in my opinion, more embracing of what we now have which was missing for so so long.
For years I said the hotel needed the club, but now I would say the hotel will help SELL the units and generate revenue for years to come as long as there is a realisation that we are in this together.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A HOTEL MAKES
Good morning to all. Personally, we are feeling sad about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, but appreciate that not everyone is a Royalist. We feel happy though, that she was at Balmoral where she had enjoyed so many family holidays, built so many memories and felt secure.
It's good to hear from LAMO003 that the Hotel and Lodges are busy and Hotel guests love the scenery and may be interested in holidaying at Rannoch again. LAMO is absolutely right: this is a Lodge selling opportunity that must not be missed! Can someone on the Committee who reads the Posts on this site, please tell Owners what ALL Club Staff are actively doing to sell Lodges to those guests staying in the Hotel and those renting Lodges? Thank you.

I echo the sentiments of ATK1004 at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. I personally feel it was her last act of Service to Scotland in choosing her beloved Balmoral to spend her final days, thus ensuring Scotland became the focal point of her initial Lying in State enabling the 'quiet majority' in Scotland to express their highest regards for Her Majesty; the Royal Family and being part of the UK.
I also echo the thoughts on the Hotel and Club being busy over the summer during my stats at Rannoch, and cannot fathom why the GM would imagine he would get more visitors attending Open Days at Rannoch in November/February than over the Summer months when the place is full of visitors and casual passer-byes! This to my mind is like shooting one's self in the Sales foot! I never saw one thing in Sales whether it be a member of Club's Sales Team drumming up interest from Hotel Guests or Lodge visitors; Posters or Leaflet advertising Club Membership or Sales. It would be interesting to see the results of the 'BIG Sales Push' however, the GM seems somewhat reticent to publish them, and I think owners should have sight of them long before the AGM in order that we can discuss them properly at the actual AGM rather than hearing about them on the day when time can be too tight for in-depth perusal followed by discussion.

One must ask WHY there is such a reluctance over the past year by the GM which stretches back to the AGM of 2021, and has remained a mystery.
As a personal opinion, I believe failure is an opportunity to learn and improve.
To others failure is taboo and a blot on their CV and rather than address, ignore.
What is it?
The bigger issue is that failure is infectious, but so is success if shared.
We as owners are aware of the perceived success in rent and all the other sucesses which are commendable, but the silence on sales is disturbing especially when the long term future of the club depends on this area.
