That old chestnut, the club referral scheme has resurfaced in the form of an email reminder to owners.
I do not know the previous sucess or failure of this scheme but there seems to be an inference that owners are in some way responsible for the sales of lodges and are encouraged to participate and collect the perks. Personally I would rather keep my friends and acquaintances than introduce them to the money sapping and declining state that the club now is.
What owners should be made aware of is how successful the previous sales professional was at turning over new sales and indeed how successful the present sales professional has been to date. This is important for owners to know since a reasonable wage is / was paid to both.
Who earns what at LRHC ? now there’s a good question

I don't think we, as owners have ever been told if the referral scheme has been successful or not.

However I would think if it had been, we would have seen a bit if bragging, similar to all the prepaid awards of yesteryear, which has been absent this year.

If the previous salesperson had been successful would he still not be there?

That is a good question regards who earns what, and can be disclosed at a later stage as its definitely costing the owners big time.

Maybe a pie chart or two would be enlightening, who knows.
Obviously realistic wages are necessary, and the workforce as a whole graft away admirably to keep the operation working but in view of recent cost saving redundancies can it be said that all employees and projects are value for money ? Its these sort of things which are of interest to the owners who are having to shell out for increases every year.

You are bang on.
Some are grossly overpaid and grossly overspend, but when you have an ego, they don't really care who it affects as long as there is a something in it for them.
You pay the big bucks for toxicity.

Debatable if we’ll ever see a Pie chart on the subject of earnings however each year the entire wages bill is published for all LRHC owners information. What it doesn’t do is provide a breakdown of earnings which I think would be of interest to the hard pressed owners and indeed many employees, no doubt.
In private industry it would be normal for top management in an organisation which had several hundred employees and an annual turnover of hundreds of Millions £’s to receive a healthy salary and possibly bonuses but in a small organisation with much less than a hundred employees and an annual turnover of less than £2 million would it be realistic to pay top management anywhere near the same wage scale?
Everything , including the rationing of loo roll has to be considered in a fragile economy such as there is at LRHC.
